Think green
Running out of breakfast ideas or smoothie recipes to brighten up your day? Since I broke my ankle, we’ve been really focusing on green smoothies. Why green? Because you can get anywhere up to 50% of your required daily amount of minerals and vitamins from one of those. Still think green is yucky? Don’t be put off by the colour! The right ingredients make green taste very sweet indeed
.
Usually, each of us will start the day with 1,5 to 2 liters of whatever green smoothie we choose. They normally contain 6 to 7 ripe (!) bananas, a maximum of two other kinds of fruit and around 300 grams of greens. You’ll notice the quantities in the recipes below are a bit smaller – if you’re not used to drinking green, it’s better to take it easy at the start
.

- 5 bananas
- 3 kiwi fruit
- 200g chard
